Dr Gayatri Gopan works as Consultant Medical Oncologist in GG Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.  An alumnus of the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram, she has already established herself as a doctor who is empathic as well as efficient.

Dr Gayatri’s understanding of her domain – Cancer – and its special nature has motivated her also to talk to the general public on the prevention and early cure of the disease.  In fact she has spoken engagingly on many fora to audiences on aspects of the disease that are still not widely known.

Being one of the very few female medical oncologists, Dr Gayatri is getting increasingly sought after, especially by patients who are reluctant to confide their problems to male oncologists.

Dr Gayatri’s areas of specialization include treatment of breast cancer, hematological, gastrointestinal, thoracic, and gynecological malignancies.

She took her MBBS from Government Medical College Thrissur, MD General Medicine from Government College Kottayam and DM Medical Oncology from Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.
